If playing the piano is something you've always wanted to do, now is the time. Piano isn't like ballet or ice skating or football where you're over the hill at thirty. Pianists get better with age and keep going into their 80's and 90's. You have time to be really good at this.
I enjoy working with students at all stages of piano skill. It's a privilege to teach beginners. Laying the foundation for a musical journey is awesome. Intermediate students are fun because there is so much fun music at the intermediate level. Guiding experienced players through advanced compositions is richly satisfying. Piano world is a great place no matter where you are in it.
Don't be afraid to make mistakes. One of my adult students said she was afraid that when she made mistakes someone would call the music police and have her dragged away with stern warnings to never touch a keyboard again. If you're making mistakes I'm asking myself, "what can I do to help?" If you're doing well I'm cheering you on.
If you are interested in joining my studio the first step is to contact me and then we can set up a time for an interview. I interview you and you interview me. Then we set a time for a free trial lesson so you will have a solid basis for decision making.
